This course offers boys the opportunity to study dance in a unified and supportive environment. As study progresses, each student will continue to deepen the understanding of the vocabulary and execution of dance movements specific to ballet, modern/contemporary, folk/social, improvisation, hip-hop, tap and jazz techniques. Students continue to learn anatomy of the body related to movement and how to execute movement with proper alignment (posture). Students will develop their choreographic skills by exploring and creating original dance movement. This course counts as PE or Fine Arts credit.
Folklorico Class 1-4 – 9-12th
This course offers the opportunity to deepen the understanding of the vocabulary and execution of dance movements specific to dances of Mexico and other Latin American countries. Students explore and continue to learn anatomy of the body related to movement and how to execute movement with proper alignment (posture). Students will develop their choreographic skills by exploring and creating original dance movement while experiencing authentic cultural dance. This course counts as PE or Fine Arts credit.

This course offers the opportunity to explore precision dance related to spirit-based activities, emphasizing jazz and hip-hop techniques. The Chevals perform at football games and support athletic teams while building strong dance skills including an understanding of anatomy, health and fitness, and cross-training principles.

This course offers the opportunity to explore and perform dance movements specific to the dances of Mexico and other Latin American countries. Folklorico Company performs at cultural events and Cinco de Mayo celebrations.

Moving Ground Dance Company 9-12th
This course offers the opportunity to explore artistic dance using modern/contemporary dance as a base, and expanding performance and technical skills in other genres of dance including ballet, jazz, hip-hop. MGDC focuses on choreography and performance for the entire year and travels to represent the dance department at regional and national high school dance festivals.
