The Athletics Department inducted David Blough and Melissa Gonzalez-Blough into its first Hall of Fame class at the CFBISD Athletics Hall of Fame and Awards of Excellence Gala on May 18, 2022.
They both were graduates of and star athletes at Creekview High School.

Melissa ran track and qualified for the State UIL State Track and Field meet three years in-a-row winning gold in the 300-hurdles in 2011 and 2012. She went on to the University of Texas, competing in the 400-meter hurdles, winning several Big 12 Conference medals and USTFCCCA All-America Honors.
Melissa participated in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, representing Colombia where she holds dual citizenship and is the national record holder in the 400-meter hurdles with a best of 54.80.

David, husband of Melissa, graduated from Creekview early after being named by ESPN as one of the 35 best high school quarterbacks in the nation, and enrolled at Purdue University to start spring football in West Lafayette, Indiana. As a starting quarterback for the Boilermakers, David had tremendous success at Purdue, highlighted by a surprising 49–20 upset of the then No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes at Ross–Ade Stadium.
After leading Purdue to many comeback victories, he was acquired by the Cleveland Browns in 2019 as an undrafted free agent. Later that season, he was traded to the Detroit Lions when quarterback Mathew Stafford and back up quarterback Jeff Driskel were out due to injury. David assumed the starting role for the final five games of the Lions season. He is currently still a member of the Detroit Lions.
