Creekview Mock Trial Team Impresses at Exclusive Tournament

Creekview High School's Mock Trial Team in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District was invited to participate in Yale University's exclusive Bulldog Invitational Mock Trial Tournament October 17 through October 18. Only twenty-six elite teams from across the United States were invited to participate in this tournament. Teams were selected based on their past competitive success.

Creekview's Mock Trial Team competed during the weekend tournament in four competition rounds against each state's top teams. Each round's scoring was extremely close due to the quality of the teams involved in the tournament.

After the final round, Creekview's Mock Trial Team placed ninth overall and was the tournament's top-ranked Texas team. A member of Creekview's Mock Trial Team, Liza Frolova, earned a top attorney award during the awards assembly. Frolova was one of five out of approximately 60 attorneys who was recognized as a top attorney.

Creekview's Mock Trial team has a long history of tournament success, with several members earning top awards. Brian Sheguit, a Creekview social studies and Law Academy teacher, coaches the team.
